13-year-old Lauren Stanfield from Connah’s Quay has netted no less than 17 awards and dropped her handicap by 12 shots, in the last 12 months.
Lauren, who has been with the club and playing golf for three years, has won: Bronze Qualifier, Coronation Foursomes, Bridge Club Foursomes, Centenary Medal, Dilys Moore Trophy, Spring Meeting, Lady President’s Day, Glenys Jones Trophy, Lady Captain’s Day, Club Bowl, April Medal, July medal, August Medal, September Medal, Cope Cup (Ladies Individual Knockout), Angie Evans Trophy (Ladies Doubles Knockout), and Newman Putter (Mixed Knockout).
Lauren has also capped off a fine season by representing both her county Denbighshire & Flintshire and North Wales Girls and is now busy practising throughout the Winter with the County girls coach Richard Edwards at Clays Golf Club
